Dojo is a Japanese term meaning “a school for training in Japanese arts of self-defense, such as karate and Judo.” |
The term originally comes from Middle Chinese. Do means “art”, while jo means “place.” So, dojo means “the place where trains in the art.”
People who practice karate refer to the school or club where they train as a dojo. This word can refer to the building that contains the school, or specifically to the room, gym or hall where they actually practice.

If the class is held outdoors, the field under the open sky is the dojo.
The Dojo is not simply a place to train, but also a place where you will make many friends and STRENGTHEN YOUR FUTURE!
